Title:Serpens Mercurialis (Alchemy)
Size:F8
Year 2008
oil on canvas

Description
Oil painting by Julie Kitamura in 2008.
This work is a reproduction of the sight I had dreamed of on a canvas.
When I got up, I looked into an alchemy book to see what this meant, and found out that it was Serpens Mercurialis.
I don’t draw with a hint of alchemy books.
I read alchemy books to find out what I imagined, the meaning in my heart’s eyes, or for confirmation.
A face that emerges from the burning firewood.
A snake that crawls around.
Also, this work has eyes from the skin.
The eyes next to the mouth were created through the creative activity of creating eyes from the skin based on the experience of drawing animals.

Title:Dreaming
Size:F20
Year 2005
oil on canvas
Private collection

Description
Oil painting by Julie Kitamura in 2005.
The title is from Yngwie Malmsteen’s song that I respect and love.
At that time, there was a person who was depressed.
So I drew it to encourage that person.
Angel “Make your eyes meditate. I’ll show you a nice scenery.”
The background is based on a photo taken by the artist herself.
The surreal image of a hat comes from inspiration.
It is a feature of my painting that the skin of a person changes from the middle to the skin of a different creature.
Most of my pictures are drawn with deformed eyes and hands.
The production of this work was mainly in the middle of the night, but I drew it while feeling that there were many angels coming to the side.
I heard a pleasant voice and laughter.

Salon de Invierno-Balcelona [Spain] [Excellent art prize]
Solo Exhibitions, Group Exhibitions, etc.

Description
Oil painting by Julie Kitamura in 2004.
When I feel painful, when I suddenly raise my face in the corner of a single room, a blue sky spreads in front of me,
When I watched it all over, it seemed that Ryujin came down from above and was thinking about me.
Ryujin is an upper-body figure, and most of the pictures that I actually saw were drawn.
In the image, Ryujin reached out to me and I took the back of Ryujin and traveled through the sky.
Ryujin saved my painful feelings. I am very grateful that Ryujin came to help me. I feel like a benefactor.
The left hand toward Ryujin is depicted as a ‘helping hand’.
Also, Ryujin is depicted as neutral, but depending on the viewer, it looks like a woman or a man.
It is also a feature of my painting that the skin of a person changes from the middle to the skin of a different creature.

In this work, the tree is seen as a terrible image.
It is a feature of my painting that the skin of a person changes from the middle to the skin of a different creature.
I draw it as it is.
While drawing this work, I had a mysterious dream.
The right arm was pulled by an angel, the left arm was pulled by darkness, and I thought I could tear it off.
After all, I got down to the dark world and started drawing again because I had to finish this work.

Title:Cauchemar Spiderweb
Size:M20
Year 2009
oil on canvas

Description
This work is the 8th Cauchemar series.
I drew it in the image of being trapped in the dark and dyed in the dark.
When I was walking on a green road, I found a huge spider web and saw the prey being caught.
That was the basis for the image of this work.
Spiders symbolize darkness.
The use of spiders as a symbol of darkness has already been expressed in Transformation-2.
In addition, this model is drawn by looking at the mirror by the artist herself.
Most of my pictures are drawn with deformed eyes and hands.

Title:Ewige Widerkunft
Size:F20
Year 2003
oil on canvas

Description
This work depicts Nietzsche’s eternal return.
I expressed positive and negative with a face.
The hairstyle of the negative person on the right is like this after trial and error.
The face in the picture is not human, so the ears are made human.
The bird is Phoenix.
Since it was an eternal return, I had the image of spinning around, so I designed it to draw a semicircle, and the original expression pinching the hair of a person who symbolized positive.
